Diane Hatfield Listed on Pro Remodeler’s Forty Under 40

The residential remodeling industry is growing in sophistication, engineering, and refinement. Few who aren’t in the trenches themselves understand the complexity and challenging nature of this industry, which continues to flourish despite the recent recession and persistent labor shortage.

Each year, Pro Remodeler magazine takes a look at the home remodeling industry’s top Forty Under 40. The award honors the most innovative, most impressive young professionals who will undoubtedly carry remodeling into the future.

2017 Forty Under 40

One of the owners of Hatfield Builders & Remodelers, Diane Hatfield, was recognized this year as one such innovator. Pro Remodeler named her among the 2017 Forty Under 40 because of her creative solution to errors and misinformed homeowners during renovation projects.

She developed a series of checklists organized into binders for everyone’s reference. The client binder includes FAQs, pictures of everyone on the project, construction prep tips, and much more. The project manager’s binder includes construction checklists, vendor lists, change orders, and other relevant information. Viewed together, the binders provide a complete overview of the project, putting an end to slip ups and misinformation.

2016 Forty Under 40

Diane isn’t the only one to have been recognized by Pro Remodeler. Amanda Jones, our lead project designer, was featured in the 2016 Forty Under 40.  

She developed a specifications document to keep the team on the same page during each renovation project. The document contains elevations, plan details, and photos and descriptions of every product to be installed during the remodel. A quick glance at the spec sheet when a shipment arrives makes it easy to tell, for example, which faucets belong in which bathrooms. This helps the project move forward smoothly, preventing errors or the need to ask for clarification.

2014 Forty Under 40

Our President & Owner, Chad Hatfield, was also recognized on Pro Remodeler’s Forty Under 40 in 2014. He is largely responsible for taking Hatfield Builders & Remodelers from $300,000 in revenue in 2008 to $1.8 million in 2013, a 620% increase in just five years. The company continues to grow, having reached $3 million in revenue in 2016.

Chad takes pride in every project he completes. He personally ensures the highest-quality outcome by meeting with clients in person, touring their homes, answering questions, and providing creative solutions to complex problems.
