Hatfield (now Alair Homes- Plano) Builders & Remodelers Proudly Supports Our Veterans

This Memorial Day, Hatfield (now Alair Homes- Plano) Builders & Remodelers would like to take a moment to recognize the members of our team who have served our country. Hatfield (now Alair Homes- Plano) is proud to hire veterans, and we are particularly proud to support William Haas, a Hatfield (now Alair Homes- Plano) project manager, as he rucks in Carry the Load this Memorial Day.

What Is Carry the Load?

Carry the Load is a non-profit that works to honor and celebrate our nation’s heroes: firefighters, military, law enforcement, and first responders. It was co-founded by Clint Bruce and Stephen Holley when they recognized that veterans view Memorial Day in a very different way than civilians do. They work not only to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day, but also to celebrate our nation’s heroes in a meaningful way on a regular basis.

Hatfield (now Alair Homes- Plano) Is Proud to Support Veteran William Haas

William will be rucking in the Dallas Carry the Load Memorial Day March in honor and memory of all his friends and family with whom he served. He joined the military in July 2010, fulfilling his lifelong dream of enlisting. He actively served in the Army for three years, and then served two years in the National Guard. He did a tour in Afghanistan as part of his service. He held many positions throughout his time in the Army, he left as a squad leader. He has been with Hatfield (now Alair Homes- Plano) since fall of 2016; we are proud to support him as he participates in Carry the Load. You can find his personal donation page here.

Thank You to Those Who’ve Fought for Our Freedom

Greg in his Sailor Uniform when he was 18!

We want to recognize two additional Hatfield (now Alair Homes- Plano) employees for their service. Greg Bailey is a project manager who joined us in 2011. He joined the Naval Reserves in the early 1970s and went into active service shortly after. He was stationed on the U.S.S. Floyd B. Parks and spent over a year sailing the south China seas.

Brian in his dress uniform in 1985.

Brian Martin is a Hatfield (now Alair Homes- Plano) carpenter who joined us in 2016. He served in the Army from 1983-1987. He was stationed at Fort Mead, supporting the National Security Agency, and then Fort Detrick, working in the satellite operations center.

We want to thank these Hatfield (now Alair Homes- Plano) men for their sacrifice for our country. William says, “Everyone thanks you for your service to our country, but I have never thought of myself as a veteran. My service is lifelong.” A true patriot, indeed. Our sincerest thanks and appreciation to William, Greg, and Brian.
