Dallas-Area Home Owners: Giving Thanks and Giving Back

Posted on: November 17, 2014

A TIME FOR THANKFULNESS

At this family and community-centered time of year, Hatfield Builders and Remodelers likes to pause and appreciate how lucky we are to live and work in the Dallas area. We’re thankful for our clients, and for the opportunity to do the work we love – designing and building beautiful home spaces all over the Dallas, North Dallas, Plano, and Richardson areas. As passionate as we are about enhancing homes, we feel just as strongly about making a positive impact throughout the Dallas community.

We have a few organizations that are close to our own hearts. The Dallas chapter of Habitat for Humanity was incorporated in 1986 and has served over 1,400 families and 25 neighborhoods since its inception. Many of our clients undergoing a kitchen remodel choose to donate their appliances through Habitat and other charities. This is a great way to put those well-loved ovens, refrigerators, and more to good use for those in need. Another way you can pitch in is to donate nonperishable food items to Frisco FASTPacs, a nonprofit that makes weekend meals for underprivileged children who receive free and reduced lunches during the week.

However you choose to help, we encourage you to get out there this season and give back. At this time of year when we are so fortunate to have delicious food on our tables and close friends and loved ones all around, the Hatfield team encourages you to do a little research and find out how you can make an impact – even a small one – on the greater Dallas area.

With the spirit of giving, often comes hosting and entertaining. At Hatfield Builders & Remodelers, we know a kitchen that is easy to navigate and allows you the freedom to create memorable meals is key. Homes that allow for guest traffic and flow, whether in the dining area or a guest bedroom, the living room or a bathroom are all appreciated even more during holiday season. If you’re feeling stuck in your own space, check out some of our galleries.

And of course the best thing about Thanksgiving is the food. Break out the recipe books and wedding china, and put that shiny-new kitchen to good use. We’re shelling out our favorite recipe for an ultimate southern crowd pleaser. Direct from Hatfield’s own Melony T’s recipe box:
