This Lake Highlands Dallas, TX home remodel got its start as this homeowner purchased her home next to her son and his family. She wanted to be close by as they are raising their young children. She wanted an open space where she could be comfortable and entertain and that had an updated feel in the 1954 home. We took down the wall dividing the kitchen and living space and created a large eat-in peninsula. A whole new kitchen was installed with white Quality cabinets, stainless appliances and Cambria countertops. The laundry and pantry was redone for expanded storage and better use. Both of the homes bathrooms also were completely remodeled with all new tubs, commodes, showers, and cabinets. All new tile and hardwood floors were run throughout the home. We added lighting and painted the walls in a soothing neutral color palate. This 1954 home now feels brand new to its owner and will enable her to enjoy living next door to her grandchildren!
