Rue Du Lac Living Area Remodel

The Preston Hollow, Dallas, TX kitchen remodel homeowners of this 1978 house wanted to transform the cutoff outdated kitchen and living room to a transitional clean-lined oasis that would showcase the amazing lake and fountain views the home backs to. The homeowners had very specific desires to open up the space and create a transitional style space that would flow with the rest of the home in a natural way.  To take full advantage of the stunning views from the kitchen, walls would need to be removed.  Upon entering the front door, 15’ of solid stone fireplace stood directly in front, blocking all views to the lake-facing windows in the living area and creating a crowded narrow entry point to the kitchen. Our Plano, TX award winning design team reconfigured the entire living and kitchen spaces.  The fireplace was totally transformed as our clients insisted upon a more clean-lined visual impression and spacious entry to the kitchen to enhance the views. In this circumstance, a svelte, modern limestone fireplace replaced the old, creating the desired spacious feel to the room blueprint and an eye-catching transitional focal point as desired by the client.  The hardwood floors were refinished throughout and bright lighting and light wall colors tie the living room together.  This Dallas, TX, Preston Hollow home remodel eclectic furnishings finish off the look of this room that now captures the true view of the lake outside!
